Register for the 2017
Stage IV Stampede!

Join us on October 12 -13, 2017 for METAvivor’s 2nd Annual Stage IV Stampede and make your voice heard on Capitol Hill! The Stage IV Stampede is part of a grassroots effort to bring volunteers together from across the country to Washington, D.C., to advocate for advancing medical research and improving access to quality healthcare for individuals impacted by MBC.

The event will include a half mile march from the Hyatt Regency to the U.S. Capitol, a Die-In (hosted by MET Up) to represent the 113 individuals that die each day from MBC, and an educational briefing on patient protections in healthcare. The event will culminate in a day of team-based meetings with the offices of your Senators and House Representatives where we will educate them about stage IV MBC and ask them to support the community by facilitating additional funding for research, keeping vital patient protections in healthcare and improving access to treatments. On Thursday October 12, METAvivor will host registration, a reception and a brief training session for individuals interested in learning more about the issues facing the community and how to effectively engage congressional staff. You do not need to be an expert in civics or government to help create positive change, you just need to stand up and speak out!

Please be sure to book your reservations at the Hyatt early as the room block is almost full! Special rates end September 8. (

MET Up has generously offered to provide travel grants through the 2017 Angela Shartrand Memorial Travel Grant Fund. Contact for an application. Deadline for travel grant applications is September 10, 2017.

We need volunteers! Please indicate below if you are interested in volunteering (volunteering will not prevent you from participating in any of the activities).
